Information for Employers

We work with a number of businesses and companies across West and South Yorkshire, each partnership is bespoke to the company and designed to foster a mutually beneficial and sustainable relationship.

We welcome new engagements with businesses for Careers Activities – if you are interested in working with us, please contact Raph Taylor Careers Lead.

The main activities you are involved in as a partner employer include:

• Guest Speaker visits to Camphill Wakefield: we will invite you in to showcase your business, and speak to students about your role, responsibilities, employees and the workforce.
• Industry visits: where you invite students into your business for a tour and to meet members of the workforce, supported by our experienced staff.
• Work experience: where you will gain enthusiastic individuals or groups at your business once a week, supported by college staff.
• Work Placements: taking on individual students who aspire to work in your industry sector, and who will also come with prior experience or training. The dedicated Job Coach who accompanies each student supports you and your team to build confidence to support the individual.

Throughout our working partnership, you will gain advice and guidance from our experienced Careers and Employability Team, and we can also look at delivering Disability Awareness training to your workforce.
