Enterprise Hub

The Enterprise Hub is a public-facing learning environment that provides meaningful work-based learning experiences for young adults with SEND.
Through a combination of retail, hospitality, enterprise and community engagement, our students develop employability skills, increase their independence, confidence and communication, in a real-work setting.
Opening times:
Monday to Friday – 9am to 3pm

The Enterprise Hub is home to:
Café 1903
A welcoming café serving hot and cold drinks, light refreshments and seasonal specials. We are dog-friendly and offer a doggy menu!
Students develop skills in customer service, barista training, food preparation, team work, money handling and workplace routines.
Retail – Crafters Pantry and Bramble & Basket
Crafters Pantry – A unique retail space showcasing handmade products created by students, volunteers and local artist/makers where our students can develop creativity, enterprise skills, product presentation and sales experience.
Bramble & Basket – A farm shop offering locally sourced produce, gifts and everyday essentials, where our students gain experience in stock management, merchandising, customer interactions and retail operations.
Both shops are co-staffed by our students who practice and learn retail and customer service skills as part of their college programme. Your custom directly supports their learning!
The Enterprise Hub is also home to a developing garden project, where students are involved in planting, maintaining and harvesting produce. This provides valuable opportunities to develop practical, environmental and wellbeing skills, while supporting sustainability through the supply of fresh seasonal produce for use within the café and shops wherever possible.

Alongside our retail and hospitality offer, the Hub works in partnership with local schools, colleges and social care organisations, providing transition opportunities and community access experiences. We welcome visiting groups and prospective students, helping individuals build confidence and familiarity with real-world environments.
In addition to our shops and café, the Enterprise Hub hosts community events, workshops and volunteering opportunities, bringing together the wider community and promoting inclusion, community engagement and wellbeing.
