Support Worker – Day Services
Location: Camphill Wakefield
Hours: Full-time, Permanent (8:30am – 16:30pm, Monday to Friday)
Salary: £25,038.00 per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week)

Camphill Wakefield is a specialist college for young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We provide a safe, nurturing, and thriving learning environment focused on individual development and helping students achieve their aspirations.
We are expanding our Day Services team and are seeking a Support Worker to join us. This role involves supporting vulnerable students in a range of meaningful activities, both on-site and in the community, including life skills, gardening, animal care, pottery, and textiles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Follow Behaviour Management guidelines and individual support plans
- Provide reassurance and therapeutic support to service users, including those who may display challenging behaviour
- Promote independence while assisting with personal and physical care when appropriate
- Support service users in sessions tailored to their individual needs, and monitor outcomes
- Encourage self-confidence and independence through therapeutic strategies
About You:
- Experience working with young people in a social care setting
- Ability to support individuals with personal care needs
- Understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Caring and compassionate nature
