Our Therapy Team

As part of attendance at Camphill Wakefield students have access to a team of onsite therapists including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Therapy Assistants and Assistant Psychologists. The therapy input is based upon student’s EHCP outcomes and provision, initial assessment and ongoing review of student progress. We provide person centred, evidence-based therapy.

Support from our therapy team may include: 

 

  • Baseline and review assessment
  • A therapy programme which may include individual or group therapy sessions
  • Individualised support and guidance
  • Personalised visual resources
  • Joint target setting
  • Environmental observations
  • Contribution to the EHCP review process
  • Staff training
  • Keeping clinical records
  • Liaison with external agencies as required
  • Guidance to promote safer eating and drinking.
