Our culture of vigilance means staff are trained, confident and proactive in recognising concerns early and responding quickly. Learners’ voices and experiences guide our decisions, and we remain professionally curious at all times to ensure that every learner receives the right help at the right time.
We are proud to have student-focused Safeguarding Champions who help shape our curriculum, raise awareness, and ensure safeguarding messages are accessible and meaningful to their peers. As part of our ongoing development, we are also working towards establishing Learner Champions, further strengthening learner voice and promoting a culture where students actively influence safety, wellbeing and inclusion across Camphill Wakefield.
Our curriculum is designed specifically for young people and adults with SEND, empowering them to develop confidence, understand relationships, stay safe online and in the community, and make informed choices as they grow in independence.
Strong partnerships with families, carers, external professionals and agencies ensure a joined-up approach to student safety and support.
